ISECO presented an update on synthetic refrigerants  and natural refrigerants and reiterated the question that was asked at the recent Gustav  Luarentzen conference in China-  will we stop at the next generation of HFOs and so called fourth generation refrigerants , or is now the time to consider natural refrigerants such as ammonia , carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons as long term options.

Examples of recent projects undertaken by  Scantec  which use ammonia to provide chilled water in commercial/ office applications were presented to show what is possible .
